Ancient Solfeggio Set of 9

The tones in this Ancient Set of 9 Tuning Forks are derived from the Ancient Solfeggio Set of 6. Six tones made up this system: Ut=396 Hz, Re=417Hz, Mi=528Hz, Fa=639 Hz, Sol=741 Hz, La=852 Hz. Over time, 174 Hz, 285 Hz, and 963 Hz were added resulting in a 9-tone set used for sound and wellness.

Although these tones are often called “Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si (Ti), Do”, this Ancient Solfeggio Set does not correspond to, and is not compatible with the musical tones of the well-tempered or equal-tempered Western musical scale. The frequencies (Hz) of the Ancient Solfeggio Set of 9 start at 174 Hz, with each following tone created by successively adding 111 Hz until the final tone, 963 Hz.

These tones were believed to be useful in the treatment of various emotional, physiological, and psychological conditions.
